D1.1 Welder Training & Certification can be completed in as little as 3 weeks (Monday – Friday).

(Experienced welders may schedule a no-charge skill evaluation, so their program may be modified to fit their existing skill level)

D1.1 Code Book Clinic – $795

Group evening classes:  Tue & Thu 7 pm to 9 pm (24-hours).  5 weeks straight, then 6th week saved as quick refresher before you test (approx. 2-3 weeks later).  Our office staff will help you with filling out and submitting your LADBS Trade License application with your Written Exam fee deposit and help you with submitting your 3G/4G test reports.

Other costs:  AWS D1.1 Structural Steel Code book is required when taking your written exam, so you should bring your copy to class so you can highlight and tab pages.  2008 or 2010 versions are accepted by LADBS…so borrowed or used version is fine, or you can purchase new archived 2010 version directly from AWS Bookstore.  The balance of your Trade License application fee is due to LADBS before you take your written test.

D1.3 Code Book Clinic – $395

Other costs:  AWS D1.3 Structural Steel Code book is required when taking your written exam, so you should bring your copy to class so you can highlight and tab pages.  2008 version, used or you can purchase new directly from AWS Bookstore.

Other Code Book Clinics (D1.2, D1.4, D1.6 , or D1.8) by appointment only – $695
